Medical Insurance Payment Poster (Data Entry)

Type:
Job Summary We are a fast-paced, growing clinical practice looking for a detail-oriented Medical Payment Poster to join our billing team. This role is focused on accurately posting insurance payments (ERAs and EOBs) to patient accounts to ensure timely reconciliation. This position offers the flexibility to set your own hours, provided accuracy and weekly posting goals are met.
Key Responsibilities Payment Posting:
Accurately post insurance payments (ERA/EOB) and patient payments into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Data Entry:
Process high-volume payment data with exceptional accuracy.
Adjustment Posting:
Apply appropriate contractual adjustments, denials, and deductibles based on EOB information.
Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient billing records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Resolution:
Identify discrepancies, such as denied claims or incorrect payments, by collaborating with the billing team.
Qualifications :
WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 1+ years of experience in medical payment posting, medical billing, or revenue cycle management.
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of EOBs (Explanation of Benefits), ERAs (Electronic Remittance Advice), and insurance payment cycles.
Preferred Technical:
Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with medical billing software/EHR systems (e.g., eCW, Epic, etc.).
Accuracy:
Ability to maintain high data accuracy and keystrokes per hour.
Independence:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
