Database Developer (PL/SQL & ETL)

Database Developer (PL/SQL & ETL) Introduction We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL and solid experience in ETL development. This role is focused on database engineering, not a pure ETL developer position. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize database solutions while contributing to ETL processes and data integration efforts. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust PL/SQL code for enterprise applications Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies Develop and support ETL processes for data integration and transformation Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and developers Ensure adherence to coding standards, version control, and deployment processes Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner Contribute to continuous improvement of database architecture and processes Requirements Required Skills (Must Have) Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming, including: Packages Procedures Functions Triggers Proven ability to optimize complex queries and design high-performance database solutions Experience with ETL development, preferably using Informatica (experience with SnapLogic is a plus) Strong experience with Oracle Database (primary) and SQL Server Experience working in enterprise environments with version control and deployment standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications Exposure to SnapLogic or other modern ETL tools Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based database deployments Understanding of CI/CD pipelines related to database development
