Day Porter Janitor

Position Overview We are currently hiring a professional and dependable Day Porter to support the daily operations and cleanliness of government office facilities. The Day Porter plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and agency personnel throughout the workday. The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in secure and occupied environments. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, offices, conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas Continuously monitor and clean high-touch surfaces throughout the facility Restock restroom, kitchen, and breakroom supplies as needed Remove trash and recycling throughout the day Spot mop, vacuum, and address spills promptly Clean glass entry doors, elevators, and other visible surfaces Support meeting room setup and breakdown when requested Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns immediately Follow all facility security procedures and building protocols Maintain professional appearance and conduct while on-site Qualifications Previous commercial cleaning or day porter experience preferred Experience working in government, corporate, or secure facilities is a plus Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in occupied spaces Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to pass background screening if required Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required Ability to lift up to 25lbs. and remain active throughout shift Must be a US citizen Preferred Skills Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures Familiarity with OSHA safety standards Ability to handle sensitive environments with confidentiality and professionalism Benefits Competitive pay Stable weekday schedule Opportunities for advancement Health Insurance Apply Today Please submit your resume and contact information to esmeralda@cleanmethod.com
