$18.00-$20.00 per hour Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Daycare Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff. This position is ideal for someone with previous cleaning or janitorial experience who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards in a childcare setting. Training will be provided, but previous cleaning or janitorial experience is required . The cleaner will be responsible for completing daily cleaning and sanitation tasks during the evening shift and ensuring the facility is clean and ready for the next day's activities. Schedule Monday-Friday 6:30 PM-9:30 PM 3 hours per day Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize daycare areas, including classrooms, play areas, restrooms, kitchen areas, and common spaces. Perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and general floor care. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and frequently used areas. Safely use cleaning products and follow proper chemical handling and sanitation procedures. Operate standard commercial cleaning equipment as needed. Maintain a clean and organized supply area. Follow all safety procedures while performing cleaning duties. Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to management. Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly within the scheduled shift. Help maintain a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for children, staff, and visitors. Requirements Previous cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience is required. Experience in a daycare, school, office, commercial facility, or similar environment is preferred. Ability to follow cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures. Ability to safely handle cleaning products and equipment. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks within the scheduled time. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving cleaning supplies. Good communication skills and a professional attitude. Willingness to learn and follow facility-specific cleaning procedures. Training will be provided.
