Full-Time Join Our Team National Pump Company is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Zolfo Springs, Florida. This position plays a critical role in assembling vertical turbine pump systems and related components that support water, agricultural, industrial, and infrastructure applications worldwide. Position Summary The Assembler performs assembly, disassembly, inspection, and related production activities for vertical turbine pump assemblies and associated components. This role ensures all work is completed accurately, safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards, production schedules, and ISO documentation requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform assembly, disassembly, inspection, and testing support activities for vertical turbine pump assemblies Complete assigned work accurately and within established production timelines to meet customer expectations and delivery schedules Ensure all required ISO and production documentation is properly completed and maintained throughout assembly and testing processes Read and interpret bills of material, work instructions, blueprints, and related production documentation Identify, inspect, clean, and prepare machined surfaces and components prior to assembly Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring devices, calipers, micrometers, and related equipment safely and effectively Verify dimensions and specifications using precision measuring instruments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as authorized and trained Assist with movement of materials, parts, and completed assemblies within the production area Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to support production goals Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and quality standards Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical assembly environment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools Forklift operation experience and/or ability to obtain forklift certification preferred Ability to read and interpret bills of material, blueprints, work instructions, and related production documents Basic computer proficiency and general mathematical skills Ability to use precision measuring devices, including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing and shop environment around moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools, and industrial equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday and frequently use hands and fingers to handle tools, components, controls, and equipment. The employee must frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, climb, lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for detailed assembly and inspection tasks.
