Daycare Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the daycare, assist with supervising and engaging with children, and contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Your enthusiasm for working with young children will help foster their growth, development, and love for learning from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and social skills Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytelling, and other interactive learning experiences Help with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving needs for infants and toddlers Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's daily activities and progress Requirements Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom setting preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom experience with toddlers and infants preferred Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired!
