Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant childcare team as a Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers in implementing educational activities, ensuring proper care, and fostering positive behavior. Your energetic approach and compassionate nature will contribute to the growth and happiness of every child in your care. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. We are an in-home license with a childcare center vibe. We have loads of space for children to run and play but only manage 12 kids on a given day. We are opening a second location just one door down from our original location. This position would start the second to last week of July 2026. Duties Assist lead teachers with planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills within our curriculum. We strive to implement Reggio Emilia in our classrooms. Support children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure their safety and comfort Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and development Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing care strategies Implement behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions and emotional well-being Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Help create open ended play opportunities for children of different ages. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable but will provide the training if needed Strong classroom management skills coupled with patience and empathy Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and support various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Join us as a Daycare Assistant to inspire young minds while developing your career in early childhood education! Pay:
$15.00 - $17.50 per hour
