Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves implementing developmentally appropriate activities, managing classroom behavior, and supporting children's social, emotional, and educational growth. Experience in early childhood education and childcare is essential to foster a positive learning atmosphere that promotes curiosity and learning. Duties Plan and execute age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety at all times. Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and organized learning environment. Provide basic caregiving duties such as feeding, diapering, and assisting with toilet training for infants and toddlers. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom or daycare area in accordance with health and safety standards. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Assist in the development of social skills, behavior management, and early childhood education initiatives. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for infants through preschoolers. Experience with classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected. Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter demonstrating caregiving skills will be considered valuable.
