Clarificion from the agency Current students in accredited educional institutions who are U.S. Citizens or Nionals. Duties Help This position is loced within the Superior Court Division, the division responsible for prosecuting most local (non-federal) crimes occurring within the District of Columbia. The mission of the Superior Court Division is to promote public safety and vindice the rights of victims by fairly, impartially, and consistently enforcing the criminal laws of the United Stes and the District of Columbia in accord with our ethical and constitutional duties. To accomplish this mission, the Superior Court Division is divided into five sections: Homicide, Sex Offense and Domestic Violence, Major Crimes, General Crimes, and Early Case Assessment. The Da Analyst intern will report to the Superior Court Division's Da Scientist, working closely with each of the division's sections along with the IT Division to utilize da analysis knowledge in contributing to assigned projects th involve assisting with da collection efforts and quality control, using stistical techniques and methods, and communicing da findings to Superior Court Division and Office leadership. This informion used to make da-driven decisions regarding the administrive and programmic aspects of the Division's operions and management, including setting prosecution priorities and practices, ensuring fairness and equality in decision-making, assessing the impact of prosecutorial decisions and approaches, making staffing decisions, and responding to external requests for da. As the Da Analyst intern, duties and responsibilities include supporting the development of da visualizion, assessment, and integrion methods to prepare diverse da for stistical analysis; defining the most useful measurements for the specific purpose requested and planning quality checks and controls to ensure collected da is accure and reliable; assisting in determining the best and most efficient ways to collect quantitive informion, including through automion; supporting the development and automion of large-scale, high-performance da processing systems and tools to improve da quality; performing stistical analysis of da to assess pterns and relionships, identify trends, and reach meaningful conclusions from various internal and external da streams; assisting in the implemention of informion technology solutions to develop online dabases, dashboards, or websites; assisting in organizing and writing technical reports; and performing other duties as assigned. The applicant must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Please note th every student internship is contingent upon the sisfactory completion of a security clearance. Under no circumstances will a student be allowed to work in any capacity before his or her security clearance is successfully completed.
