Job Description

Williams Auto Group is hiring! We are looking for an energetic, passionate individual to join our TEAM as a General Manager in the Vestal, NY market. This position plays a large role in the leadership of the dealership and will be part of one of the volume sales leaders in the market. Apply today! #TEAMWilliams #JoinTEAMWilliams Essential Duties Include but are not limited to: Hires, trains, supervises, and motivates all dealership department managers. Provides enthusiastic leadership to help shape employees' attitudes and build morale. Holds regularly scheduled managers meetings to ensure that every department is operating efficiently and profitably. Reviews and approves compensation plans for all employees. Resolves any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify. Monitors the daily operating control (DOC), recommending improved courses of action where necessary. Develops and maintains a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel. Communicates management policies and procedures to all employees and ensures that they are understood and followed. Establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit. Establishes standards for displaying, merchandising, and maintaining new and used vehicles. Establishes procedures for quick disposal of over 60 day aged used vehicles. Addresses customer complaints to ensure high level of customer satisfaction. Facilitates new-vehicle pre-delivery with the service manager. Makes sure facility is secure, well lit, and professional in appearance. Maintains a professional appearance. Attends managers and manufacturer meetings as requested. Travel required on a limited basis. Education and/or Experience Two to four years of General Manager, Service Manager, Finance Manager or Sales Manager or related experience. Skills and Qualifications Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, and legal documents. Strong communication skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
