TITLE:
Dedicated Building Substitute Teacher (Full Time) - Talbot Community School, 25-26 SY (remainder of current school year)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Talbot Elementary is seeking a Dedicated Building Substitute for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Duties include daily classroom functions, reviewing and implementing daily lesson plans, monitoring and supporting students in their learning, and collaborating with teacher teams around curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university [Preferred] Prior experience working with children
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Maine State fingerprint (CHRC) authorization (more info). Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
Schedule:
Full Time, 1.0 FTE (standard 7 hour day)
Assignment:
Temporary, now until 06/17/2026 Reports to:
School Principal Wage:
$28.99 per hour
Benefits:
Eligible for $500 / month toward a PPS medical benefits plan, also eligible for Earned Paid Leave (EPL) as per Maine law
