Main responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality customer service and ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures Train, schedule, and supervise deli employees to maintain effective staffing and performance Plan daily production, manage inventory, and order supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels Resolve customer concerns related to products, service, and deli operations Prepare, display, and maintain hot and cold deli food items, ensuring quality and freshness Promote deli products, provide samples, and support sales growth within the department Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements Operate and oversee use of deli equipment, cash registers, and food prep toolsMonitor department performance, analyze reports, and maintain merchandising standards We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Soft skills : Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Leadership and team development mindset Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively with team members and leadership Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Competencies :
Team leadership, scheduling, and performance management Inventory management and operational planning Customer experience management Compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Sales promotion and merchandising
Knowledge :
Knowledge of deli products including meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case offerings Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements Familiarity with inventory processes, product pricing, and department layout Basic financial and sales reporting knowledge
Abilities :
Ability to lead teams and work with minimal supervision Ability to multitask and perform under time constraints and stress Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions Ability to analyze reports and make informed decisions Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and operating equipment Other requirements: Must be at least 18 years old Must pass required food safety and company assessments Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and communicate in English Must adhere to company uniform, grooming, and safety policies We also provide a variety of benefits including: Competitive wages paid weekly Access to up to 50% of your earned wages before payday, via our partnership with Stream Associate discounts Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)
