Delivery Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to support our distribution team. This role is primarily focused on Class B box truck deliveries , with occasional operation of Class A refrigerated vehicles based on business needs. This position functions largely as a coverage/relief driver , stepping in across routes to ensure consistent and timely deliveries. Responsibilities include transporting dairy products to retail locations, navigating local and city delivery routes , and maintaining a high standard of safety, efficiency, and product quality. The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, experience with commercial vehicles, and the ability to adapt to changing routes and schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Route Details:

Primarily overnight/early morning shifts Typical start time around 2:00 AM End time varies based on route completion (generally 8-10 hour shifts ) Routes are primarily local/city-based deliveries This is a great opportunity for a flexible, dependable driver who enjoys variety in their day and being part of a team that keeps products moving efficiently and on time. Responsibilities Safely operate Class B refrigerated trucks Load and unload dairy products at the stores and delivery sites using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Drive route schedules efficiently, adhering to delivery timelines and traffic regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation laws Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip Ensure the proper handling of perishable goods, maintaining refrigeration standards during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times or other customer concerns Follow all safety protocols related to truck driving, freight handling, and route driving Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Class A designation Experience with truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery Ability to load & unload heavy cargo efficiently using manual methods. For reference, each stack of milk weights approximately 300lbs, and must be manually moved with the use of a hook. Each individual case weighs 50 pounds. This position requires substantial physical activity. Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws. Experience in delivering freight accurately within scheduled routes. Good organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service in the transportation of dairy products.
