Dental Assistant

Adams Periodontics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our specialized team. In this role, you will work closely with Dr. Adams or Dr. Vargas to provide exceptional surgical and periodontal care. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, excels in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to making every patient feel comfortable and well-cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

Surgical Assisting:

Assist periodontists in a variety of periodontal and implant procedures, including dental implant placement, bone grafting, and gingival surgery.

Patient Preparation:

Prepare treatment rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready.

Clinical Imaging:

Capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photos; experience with 3D imaging (CBCT) is a plus.

Patient Education:

Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and answer questions regarding their treatment and recovery.

Lab & Sterilization:

Manage sterilization protocols, track lab cases, and maintain dental equipment to ensure peak performance.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate electronic patient records and assist with treatment planning.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program (DA II preferred). Valid North Carolina X-ray certification. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and surgical instruments. A positive, professional attitude and the ability to multitask effectively. Why Join Us?
