Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists during patient procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and provide compassionate care to patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays and utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality. Gather vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments. Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient inquiries. Support dental team members with medical coding, documentation, and maintaining organized medical records for seamless clinic operations. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a gentle approach that fosters comfort for young patients. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the team. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic is a plus. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist or in patient-facing roles; capable of managing medical records and documentation efficiently. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance is required.
