Job Description

Champagne Family Dentistry South Meadows is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant with a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. Skilled in chairside assistance, sterilization procedures, dental radiography, and patient education. Experienced in maintaining efficient workflow, supporting dentists during a variety of procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience for every patient. Proficient in dental software, scheduling, and record management. Seeking an opportunity to contribute to a professional dental team focused on quality care and patient satisfaction.
Job Summary:
A Dental Assistant supports dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality oral care to patients. They perform a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the dental office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings Take and develop dental X-rays Record patient medical histories and treatment information Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions Manage patient appointments, billing, and recordkeeping Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols Maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials Support patient comfort and address any concerns during visits
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to multitask Proficiency with dental software and office systems Certification in radiography and CPR (as required by state regulations)
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred On-the-job training or prior experience in a dental office is an advantage
