Job Description

Waveland Dental Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate full-time dental assistant with at least two years of experience. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Seating and preparing patients for procedures Collecting, reviewing and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs Assisting the doctor with procedures utilizing four-handed dentistry Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment and materials needed for procedures Taking radiographs using digital radiography (Dexis) Taking impressions Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. Entering treatment plans and treatment notes Stocking and sterilizing operatory and assisting with lab sterilization and maintenance Requirements and skills required for this position: Proven experience as a dental assistant Dentrix and Dexis knowledge Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Radiology license Dental Assisting Certificate CPR certification High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is a plus! •
Office Hours:
Monday thru Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
