Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Our patient contact hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 6:30am - 3:00pm, with one Wednesday per month with the same hours. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining proper safety standards for patients and staff. Manage patient records by accurately updating medical documentation, medical coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing appointment flow efficiently. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following aseptic techniques, infection control standards, and OSHA guidelines. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices. Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and understanding dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic is advantageous for managing patient information effectively. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and medical terminology is required. Experience with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft or Dentrix enhances workflow efficiency. Ability to perform medical imaging accurately and confidently while adhering to safety protocols is important for this role. $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
