Dental Assistant-(bilingual preferred)

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team at Monmouth Family Health Center a community health center located in Long Branch, NJ. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile work environment. • Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support to ensure patient comfort
• Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
• Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
• Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to oral health
• Experience with dental imaging techniques such as x-rays
