Duties Assist endodontists during root canal treatment, re-treatments and endodontic surgery ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, CBCTs, and medical imaging devices while maintaining proper safety standards and aseptic techniques. Support front desk operations by functioning as a dental receptionist—scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, updating medical documentation, and assisting with billing processes. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control standards and ensuring all tools are sterilized and stored properly. Provide excellent chairside assisting with a focus on four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient care. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times. Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures and other dental imaging technology is desirable. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous; ongoing training in medical coding or advanced dental techniques is encouraged to support career growth.
