Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist with a wide range of procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, clinical workflows, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems—particularly Eaglesoft and Dentrix—is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring strict adherence to infection control and aseptic protocols Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with safety standards Accurately manage patient records, including charting and documentation, while maintaining HIPAA compliance Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions Perform chairside duties, including recording medical histories and vital signs Utilize modern dental technologies, including digital imaging and 3D scanners Support pediatric dentistry by fostering a calm, friendly, and welcoming environment for young patients Coordinate with front office staff to schedule appointments and maintain efficient patient flow Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy, and practices across general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a strong plus Solid knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards Familiarity with dental charting, coding, and clinical documentation Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and oral anatomy Ability to take and process dental X-rays effectively Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced practice. $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
