Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Ceramist Tech to join our dynamic dental laboratory team. In this vital role, you will transform digital and traditional impressions into precise, aesthetically pleasing dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, and dentures. Your expertise in dental fabrication, combined with your knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology, will ensure our patients receive high-quality, functional, and beautiful prosthetics. Duties Fabricate custom dental restorations using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and traditional techniques to meet precise specifications. Sculpt, stain, glaze, and finish ceramic restorations to achieve optimal esthetics and durability. Collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to interpret clinical impressions, digital scans, and treatment plans. Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout all fabrication processes. Ensure all laboratory work complies with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation standards. Utilize laboratory equipment such as micrometers for precise measurements and medical imaging tools for quality assurance. Keep detailed records of each case's progress, materials used, and final outcomes in accordance with laboratory standards. Experience Proven laboratory experience in dental fabrication or a related field, with a strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology. Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for designing restorations digitally. Hands-on experience with dental materials including ceramics, composites, and metals. Knowledge of infection control procedures specific to dental laboratories and clinical settings. Ability to accurately assess patient needs through collaboration with dental professionals and understanding of medical records. Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms is preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and proficiency in using precision measurement tools like micrometers are essential for success in this role.
