Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with expertise in preventive dental services, patient assessment, and maintaining optimal oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental hygiene care, supporting general and pediatric dentistry practices, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Your professionalism and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming environment that promotes patient trust and satisfaction. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring the highest standards of infection control and aseptic technique. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and medical imaging to inform appropriate treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining healthy habits. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure seamless patient care delivery. Uphold strict infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and adherence to OSHA guidelines. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist dental practice is required. Familiarity with EMR systems Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols. Demonstrated ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately and review documentation effectively. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse patient populations. Massachusetts Registered Dental Hygienist License is mandatory.
