Dental Hygienist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. Experience in pediatrics and knowledge of dental coding are advantageous but not mandatory. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations. Provide preventive dental care by cleaning teeth, applying sealants, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment within the dental clinic. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions. Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to provide optimal care. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with infection control standards. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; experience with pediatrics is a plus. Strong skills in patient assessment and ability to assist in various dental procedures. Knowledge of dental coding is beneficial but not required. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
