We are seeking a passionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team and make a positive impact on our patients' oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure Patient Comfort:
Make patients feel relaxed and at ease before, during, and after treatment. Address patient concerns or anxieties with empathy and professionalism.
Sterilize/Sanitize Operatory & Instruments:
Follow strict infection control protocols for sterilizing instruments and disinfecting operatories. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Conduct Initial Screenings:
Perform initial oral health assessments and review patient histories. Identify any immediate issues to be addressed during the appointment.
Identify Oral Health Conditions:
Recognize and assess conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis. Provide recommendations and coordinate with the dentist on treatment plans.
Oral Health Treatment & Prevention:
Perform professional cleanings, including prophy and perio maintenance. Apply fluoride and other preventive treatments as needed.
Patient Education:
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques. Demonstrate brushing and flossing methods and encourage consistent oral care habits.
X-Rays & Intraoral Pictures:
Take accurate and high-quality X-rays and intraoral pictures. Assist in diagnosing and planning treatments using imaging.
Support Recommended Treatment:
Promote and explain recommended treatment plans to patients. Emphasize the importance of follow-through on dental care plans.
Maintain Documentation:
Maintain accurate, detailed patient records. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and office protocols.
Monitor Supplies:
Track and manage dental supplies and equipment. Coordinate with office management for timely replenishment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist (new grads welcome to apply!).
Licensing:
Valid Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of dental procedures, oral health, and safety regulations.
Technical Skills:
Ability to prepare and maintain instruments, take X-rays, and capture intraoral images.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate and engage patients.
Detail-Oriented:
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient care and documentation.
Team Player:
Willingness to collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care.
