Job Description

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ' company, is looking for a Dental Hygienist II to support the Wewoka Indian Health Center, Indian Health Services for onsite dental hygiene services. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive periodontal and preventative services appropriate to the age and needs of the patient.
Services include:
routine prophylaxis, oral examinations, root planning, curettage, periodontal charting, other diagnostic procedures including radiographs, coronal polishing, sealant placement, fluoride varnish, oral health education, and administer local anesthetic under the supervision of a staff dentist. Provide patient education and instruction to patients, parents and guardians including: information on dental disease processes and the principles of oral health disease prevention and instructions on proper methods of oral health care that are appropriate to the patient's age and needs. Responsible for sharpening and maintenance of instruments and equipment used in patient treatment. Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the dental unit at the end of each work day. Responsible for restocking of supplies used in the operatory at the end of each work day. Advise the Clinical Director, Dental Supervisor, or designated representative of any problem encountered, in connection with meeting the patient care needs. Participate in quality assurance activities that ensure quality patient care as well as efficient use of hospital resources. These activities may include, but not limited to, chart review and discussion with the Clinical Director or designee. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-5 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Completion of a course of study in dental hygiene accredited by the American Dental Association as evidenced by a degree or certification. A valid, current, and unrestricted license to practice dental hygiene in a State of the United States of America. A valid, current, and unrestricted certification in nitrous oxide and local anesthesia.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
May be required to work after hours and weekend clinic to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Shall maintain standards of personal hygiene and grooming such that his/her image as a physician is compatible with the expectations of the on-site supervisor. Shall be required to develop familiarity and abide by current policies, procedures, by-laws, and regulation of the on-site clinical and medical staff. Excellent written and oral communication skills Shall possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to patients of the Native American/Alaska Native communities. Estimated Salary/Wage USD $44.01/Hr. Up to USD $48.00/Hr.Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Completion of a course of study in dental hygiene accredited by the American Dental Association as evidenced by a degree or certification.
