Dental Hygienist (Part-time) (valid license)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while performing various hygiene procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent patient communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth. Take and review vital signs to ensure patient health prior to procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Conduct infection control procedures in accordance with established protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes. Assist with dental procedures as needed, providing support to the dentist during treatments. Utilize medical imaging technology to capture necessary diagnostic images for evaluation. Stay updated on medical terminology and general dentistry practices to enhance patient care. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of infection control standards and procedures. Proficiency in documentation review and maintaining patient records accurately. Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively. Knowledge of medical coding is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
