In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing dental hygiene procedures, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting the overall clinical operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic dental environment, ensuring patients receive top-quality care while maintaining strict infection control and documentation standards. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health. Assist with patient assessments by taking vital signs and medical histories to ensure comprehensive care. Support pediatric dentistry procedures, providing gentle and effective care tailored for children. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation and record keeping. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain aseptic techniques in compliance with infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures. Collaborate with dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Skills Proficiency in dental office management software including Eaglesoft and Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures. Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatric patient management. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling medical imaging equipment and medical coding when necessary. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and review medical records for comprehensive patient assessment. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
