SUPER STAR
Insurance Coordinator is retiring in August! And although we wish her well and will miss her, we need to find someone to fill her hard to fill shoes! Is that person YOU? Our cozy private practice is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance/Financial Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding their insurance benefits and financial arrangements. Your expertise will ensure smooth billing processes, accurate coding, and effective communication with insurance providers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining the integrity of financial and insurance procedures. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help streamline office operations and support our commitment to exceptional patient care. Our Office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9-6. Wednesday 12-6 and some Saturdays 7:30-1.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS
Duties Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to treatment appointments Accurately code dental procedures using DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems Prepare and submit insurance claims efficiently, ensuring compliance with all billing regulations Follow up on unpaid claims, process dental collections, and resolve billing discrepancies promptly Maintain detailed dental records and documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Communicate clearly with insurance companies to clarify coverage details and resolve claim issues Assist patients with understanding their financial responsibilities and available payment options Keep up-to-date with changes in dental coding standards, insurance policies, and billing regulations to ensure accuracy Skills Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes, including claim submission and reimbursement procedures Proficiency in
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, and medical billing practices Experience with medical office management systems such as EMR or EHR platforms Excellent understanding of dental terminology and dental procedures for accurate documentation Skilled in collection processes and resolving billing disputes efficiently Ability to interpret insurance policies and explain coverage details clearly to patients Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and billing data Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by ensuring seamless insurance processing and financial coordination. Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
