Construct porcelain and/or acrylic bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, and crowns to resolve problems of retention, balance, and tension on nural teeth and tissue. Advise dentist and dental specialists on difficult design and construction problems such as fabricing complex dental or intra-oral maxillofacial appliances, bite openers, swing-lock, precision tachments, and obturor prostheses. Fabrice removable, partial, and complete dentures for intrice fixed dental prostheses, ensuring normal chewing, speech, and esthetic functions. Cree stone models, wax pterns, and casts in precious metals, fusing porcelain to metals when necessary. Plan classroom and laborory instruction for dental laborory technicians to enhance their skills. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determinion, as determined by a completed background investigion. A Personnel Security Investigion is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificion through the American Red Cross. Advanced certificion (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS. This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis Testing and/or record of Tuberculosis Testing. Immunizion screening is required. Hepitis B immunizion is required for all positions with direct pient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizions depending on the type of position. Specialized Experience :

One year of specialized experience which includes fabricing or repairing complex Fixed Dental Prostheses such as crowns, inlays/onlays, implants, bridges, and/or semi-precision appliances; and designing or casting fixed or removable dentures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your educion for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualificion requirement using experience alone--no substitution of educion for experience is permitted.
