We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist/ Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the front desk operations of our dental practice, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing exceptional administrative support. This role requires proficiency in dental software systems, as well as strong communication and customer service skills. Experience with dental insurance is preferrable as job responsibilities include insurance verification and discussion with patients regarding their dental benefits. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process. Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently. Handle phone calls using multi-line phone systems, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism. Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform dental billing and coding tasks, including CDT codes. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to patient visits. Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring confidentiality and organization. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office and EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Dentrix. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations and patient care plans. Appropriately file correct billing invoices and collect payments. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office may be considered. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical collection processes, and insurance verification is essential. Proficient in EHR systems such as Curve Dental or TDO Strong understanding of Dental terminology including the CDT codes coding, and health information management practices. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Excellent computer skills with the ability to navigate various software applications efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review. Exceptional customer service abilities with a focus on patient satisfaction.
