In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients and the dental practice, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to treatment planning. Your energetic approach will help foster positive patient relationships, facilitate insurance processing, and coordinate care plans efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your medical administrative expertise while contributing to exceptional patient care in a fast-paced dental environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Review and process patient documentation, ensuring accuracy in medical records, treatment plans, and billing information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech Assist patients with intake procedures, explaining treatment options, and coordinating care plans aligned with their needs and insurance benefits Manage medical billing tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare claims, and medical collection efforts to ensure timely reimbursement Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during documentation review and data entry Support clinic operations by managing medical records filing, appointment scheduling, and front desk duties while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Skills Extensive experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing processes including Medicare and insurance verification procedures Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance and documentation review practices Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Proven clinic experience in a dental or medical administrative support role; previous dental receptionist or front desk experience preferred Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multi-line phone systems efficiently Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and typing speed (10 key typing) Ability to handle medical administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and office management seamlessly in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dental terminology along with familiarity with practice management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix enhances your effectiveness in this role Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding support that ensures smooth clinic operations.
