To be a successful Dentist, you should be caring, communicative, and experienced in diagnosing and treating dental ailments. You should also be skilled with the various tools and procedures needed to correct dental complaints and ensure the oral health of patients.Description:

D.S. or D.M.D. from a school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and the American Dental Association (Required)EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES
State license and malpractice insurance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONALS
Meeting with patients to discuss and treat dental concerns, performing regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, andestablish a plan for better dental hygiene. Performing dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and fi lling cavities. Correcting bite issues and overcrowding. Applying helpful agents to teeth, such as sealants or whiteners. Prescribing medications for dental problems, such as pain medications or antibiotics. • Giving clients sedatives or anesthesia priorto administering treatments. Ordering diagnostic measures, such as x-rays, models, etc. Using tools, such as drills, probes, brushes, or mirrors, to examine and treat teeth and mouth. Keeping records relating to the oral health of patients and the treatments given to them. Managing and communicating with other staff members to provide care to patients.ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines. Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization. Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures. Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs). Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills. Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
