Saint Francis Hospital a member of Trinity Health of New England is looking for a Department Assistant to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation team located in Naugatuck. Position Purpose The Department Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all patients and clients of Outpatient Rehab and is a vital member of the rehab team working with the PTs, OTs and SLP ensuring the patients receive the care they need.
What will you do:
Manages all incoming phone calls, Conducts initial patient interview to obtain insurance and billing information. completes a variety of clerical and data entry assignments. Responsible for the scheduling, registration process and managing the electronic medical records.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required. Associate's preferred Preferably 1 -2 years' experience in healthcare Excellent computer abilities. Excellent written, oral communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with medical terminology.
