Deputy Sheriff

Duties:

• Enforce laws and maintain public order within assigned jurisdiction
• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
• Respond to calls for service and emergencies
• Conduct investigations and gather evidence
• Arrest and process suspects
• Serve warrants and subpoenas
• Transport prisoners to and from court
• Provide assistance and support to victims of crime
• Conduct traffic stops and enforce traffic laws
• Assist with crowd control at public events

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a college degree)
• Completion of a certified law enforcement training academy
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history check, polygraph examination, and psychological evaluation
