Minimum Qualifications and Training:
Bachelor's Degree Valid Tennessee Teaching License required Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience Extensive knowledge of instructional software Experience with integrating technology in the classroom Experience with troubleshooting technical/user problems with school software and programs Experience with web design and management preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others Such alternatives as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
Goals:
This position provides instructional and technical support to teachers for the effective integration of technology in the classroom to improve student learning.
Performance Responsibilities:
Works with technology support specialist to promote the effective use of technology Serves as a liaison between teachers and the technology department Supports school administrators to develop and implement a school-wide technology plan Provides on-going follow-up and support for digital citizenship for the district Provides on-going follow-up and support for technology integration Assists in the planning, preparation and conducting of professional development programs, workshops and other professional learning activities Assists in the installation and maintenance of operating systems and instructional software Assists teachers as needed or requested in the development of effective instructional strategies and assessment techniques Works to develop communication among teachers so that they may share ideas and resources for using technology and implementing into the curriculum Supports teachers in creating and managing digital content Fosters a culture of technology innovation and collaboration among staff through coaching practices in order to encourage the use of instructional technology to alter the way students learn and the way teachers teach Experience with 1:1 Implementation & 1:1 Teacher Curriculum Support preferred Works collaboratively with teachers, students, school administration, and parents to assist in development and management of all school•based technology platforms Improves professional skills and knowledge by staying up-to-date on the latest educational technology trends and research, assumes educational leadership roles, and performs duties in a professional, honest, and responsible manner Supports all special programs, projects and initiatives within the Academics and Accountability Office Any other qualifications that the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable
Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervises students as designated on the class roster. Also supervises students in general common areas when class is not in session.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable. Standard classroom environment Consistent and prompt attendance is imperative for this role
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms Regularly move about inside the classroom/school Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds

Salary:
Salary determined based on education/experience per the ACS Teacher Salary Schedule•Current salary schedule 25-26 ACS Teacher Salary Schedule. ACS offers education and employment opportunities without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, genetics, or age
