Job Summary Artistic Smiles is seeking a dedicated and energetic full-time Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and comprehensive assessments. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their dental health. Operate and maintain dental equipment such as X-ray machines, digital imaging systems, and sterilization tools following infection prevention protocols. Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and workflow efficiency. Manage infection control measures by adhering to aseptic techniques and healthcare infection prevention standards. Review medical records and coordinate with the dental team to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with EMR/EHR management is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs. Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for working with children is highly valued.
