Originally founded as the "Little Artist Lab" in Tustin, our studio quickly earned the trusted and admiration of art-loving families in our communities. In a few short years, our reputation has grown immensely, attracting over 600 families each week from across Orange County. We are looking for a passionate Fine Art Instructor to inspire and guide middle to high school aged students in drawing and painting. The ideal candidate has expertise in a variety of mediums, including pencil/graphite, pen and markers, colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolors, tempera, acrylics, and oil paints. You will help students develop their technical skills, creativity, and artistic vision while providing clear instruction, guidance, and support in a fun and engaging classroom environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Instruct and guide students in a classroom of 3-10 students, while adapting lessons to meet each student's artistic skill level, safety, and emotional needs.
  • Teach and demonstrate techniques across multiple mediums, including pencil/graphite, pen and markers, colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolors, tempera, acrylics, and oil paints.
  • Guide students in developing creativity, imagination, and technical skills by supporting advanced project concepts and refined artworks across diverse mediums.
  • Instruct students in selecting materials and following step-by-step instructions, emphasizing, how factors like color, texture, balance, size and symbolism bring their creative ideas to life.
  • Take pride in keeping the classroom and art supplies clean and organized, while teaching students to care for and use materials responsibly.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in Fine Arts
  • Submission of a completed portfolio showcasing relevant work
  • Holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree
Exception:
Applications holding a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with at least 3 years of teaching experience in Fine Arts will also be considered
