Full Job Description Before & After School Teaching Artist:
Grant Ranch ECE-8 New Cottage Arts (NCA) is hiring Teaching Artists to support before and after-school youth programming at Grant Ranch ECE-8 School (5400 S Jay Cir, Denver, CO 80123) during the 2026-2027 school year. This role is ideal for teaching artists, educators, and youth workers with experience leading arts enrichment or youth development programming in schools, community centers, YMCA programs, or similar youth-serving environments. We are looking for team members who can create safe, engaging, and consistent spaces for young people before and after school while balancing curriculum development, classroom management, creativity, and strong communication with Site Coordinators, NCA staff, youth, and families. Our programming centers creativity, belonging, mentorship, community-centered learning, and youth development through arts enrichment.

Schedule Monday-Friday Staff Arrival/Setup:
7:00
AM Morning Program:
7:30-9:00
AM Afternoon Program:
4:00-6:00
PM Staff Cleanup/Closing:
Until 6:30 PM Estimated Weekly Hours Approximately 22.5-28 hrs/week Compensation $25-30/hour depending on experience Responsibilities Lead engaging before and after-school arts enrichment programming for youth grades ECE-8th Design and adapt age-appropriate visual art, music, movement, or interdisciplinary creative activities Foster safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environments rooted in mentorship and belonging Support positive behavior management and relationship-building with youth Support student check-in, attendance tracking, transitions, and daily program flow Collaborate with NCA staff to support site operations Prepare, organize, and clean up classroom materials and supplies Communicate consistently with NCA leadership and school staff Follow all NCA and DPS policies and youth supervision expectations Qualifications Experience leading youth programming in school or community-based settings Experience managing groups of 30-50 students across mixed grade levels Strong classroom management and communication skills Experience developing curriculum and lesson plans preferred Reliable transportation required CPR/First Aid certification preferred Candidates located near Grant Ranch or Littleton encouraged to apply Ideal Candidates We are looking for local art educators who live or work near the school site.
