Job Description

About The Role:
Take care of all of the fashion needs for the bride, mothers and wedding party, sometimes including the groom and groomsmen. Provide exceptional customer service and attend to whatever their needs may be. Prepare (steam, press, label and organize) all fashion items. Help the bride into her dress and assist with all accessories, and assist other members of the family or wedding party with dressing as needed. Tie the groomsmen's bow ties, and pin their boutonnieres. Work with the photographer to set up a beautiful vignette for shooting the dress and accessories, while protecting the items to make sure they are not damaged in the process. Shadow the bride during photos to make sure everything is perfect and the wedding dress does not get dirty. When needed, you will carry the bride's train and assist her with walking in her dress. Prepare the bride and wedding party before going down the aisle by making sure that all sashes, ties and pocket squares are straight; that all suits are lint-free, and hold the veil and train until she is at the aisle ready to go. Troubleshoot any fashion emergencies that come up including ripped hems, broken buttons, torn straps, and stains, etc.
About You:
Knowledge and abilities: You have experience working with garments in a retail, wholesale or educational setting. You excel at thinking on your feet and coming up with creative solutions to trouble-shoot problems. You remain calm, cool and collected under pressure. You have good knowledge of hand sewing techniques. Strong sewing skills a plus. Our most successful Stylists had a wide variety of experience they bring to the job. Bridal experience is not required, but you should apply if you are: A kind, positive, high-energy person that enjoys helping others. Someone who is Customer Service oriented and enjoys anticipating the needs of others. Of the belief that no detail is too small to be attended to. An individual who goes above and beyond your duties and looks for ways to be helpful. A pro-active person and you don't mind pitching-in when needed, even if it's not in your job description. Someone who never ever says "NO" to a client. When something can't be done you come up with a creative solution. Are professional in nature, and understand when to engage with a client and when to step back.
