Teaching Artist The Motivational Edge - 3.5 Miami, FL Job Details Part-time $20 - $30 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid training Career development plan Professional development assistance Qualifications Teaching visual & performing arts Working with children Student support Classroom experience Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary The Motivational Edge is seeking passionate and dynamic Teaching Artists specializing in Lyrical Expression, Music Instruction, and Music Production to inspire creativity, build confidence, and engage youth through music-based learning experiences. Teaching Artists will lead hands-on workshops that develop artistic expression, technical skills, critical thinking, and personal growth while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. This is a paid, part-time opportunity for individuals who are passionate about mentoring young people and using music as a tool for education, empowerment, and self-expression. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lessons in lyrical expression, songwriting, music instruction, and/or music production. Teach participants foundational and advanced music concepts, including rhythm, melody, composition, recording, and performance techniques. Facilitate interactive workshops that encourage creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment for youth of diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Adapt instruction to accommodate various learning styles and participant needs. Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to support student growth and confidence. Collaborate with program staff to ensure successful program implementation and participant engagement. Document program activities and student achievements as requested. Qualifications Experience teaching or facilitating music, lyrical expression, songwriting, music production, or related arts programs. Proficiency in one or more areas including vocal instruction, instrumental music, beat making, recording, audio engineering, digital music production, or performance. Experience working with children and teens in educational, community, or youth development settings. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to inspire, engage, and motivate young people through music and the arts. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to program sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with music production software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio, GarageBand, Ableton Live, or similar platforms. Experience performing, recording, or producing music professionally. Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants are encouraged to apply. Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
