Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking passionate and dynamic dance, theatre, aerial, acro, keiki (children), and fitness teaching artists to inspire and educate a diverse community of learners. In this role, you will design engaging curricula, lead energetic classes, and foster a positive environment that promotes creativity, physical development, and confidence. Whether working with children or adults, your expertise will help participants explore their artistic potential through movement, performance, and wellness activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your teaching skills across multiple disciplines. Duties Develop and implement innovative lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels in dance, theatre, aerial arts, acrobatics, keiki programs, and fitness classes Lead engaging classes that emphasize technique, creativity, safety, and fun while managing classroom behavior effectively Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including children with special needs or early childhood education requirements Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation, confidence-building, and personal growth in all students Collaborate with team members to create performance opportunities and showcase student progress through recitals or community events Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet or contemporary dance, Hip Hop, theatre arts including acting or improvisation, aerial arts like silks or hoop, acrobatics, or fitness instruction Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for children or adult learners Classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students of varying ages and abilities Experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings; familiarity with childhood development principles is a plus Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive learning environments Ability to adapt instruction for special education needs and incorporate inclusive practices into programming Must have housing and reliable transportation on island Join us as a dedicated teaching artist committed to inspiring creativity through movement!
