Full-Time Fine Art Handler Description:
Cypress Art Handling is seeking an experienced Full-Time Fine Art Handler to join our team. Based in Brookline, MA, Cypress Art Handling specializes in the careful handling, transportation, storage coordination, and installation of fine art for private residences, corporate collections, galleries, designers, and art advisors. As a Fine Art Handler, you will play an important role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional movement and installation of artworks across a range of settings. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, clearmunication, and a thoughtful approach to working with valuable and delicate objects. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about art and brings experience in art handling, installation, inventory management, and logistics. The ideal candidate isanized, reliable,fortable working both independently and as part of a team, andmitted to providing an exceptional client experience. Position Summary The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for art, along with the technical expertise required for safe art handling, installation, packing, and transportation. This role requires precision, care, discretion, and a strong understanding of the standards required to preserve and protect artworks of various mediums, sizes, and values.
Key Responsibilities Art Installation:
Skillfully deliver and install artwork in private residences, offices, galleries, and other client spaces, ensuring each piece is presented safely and according to the project requirements.
Artwork Handling:
Use industry-standard techniques to safely handle, move, pack, and transport artworks, minimizing the risk of damage at every stage.
Preparation for
Installation:
Unpack, inspect, and prepare artwork and installation surfaces with care. Assist with measuring, placement, hardware selection, and installation planning.
Condition & Inventory Support:
Assist with condition checks, documentation, inventory updates, labeling, and record keeping as needed.
Transportation & Logistics:
Support local and regional pickups, deliveries, and installations. Safely load, secure, and transport artworks using cargo vans and light trucks.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Cypress Art Handling team, art advisors, registrars, designers, vendors, and clients to ensure each project ispleted professionally and efficiently.
Client Service:
Maintain a polished, respectful, and discreet presence in client homes, offices, and collection spaces. Benefits 401(k)

Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in fine art handling, installation, packing, or transportation.
Art Handling Skills:
Proficiency in handling a variety of artwork types and materials, with an understanding of the unique requirements of different mediums.
Installation Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of art installation techniques, tools, hardware, and best practices.
Communication:
Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
Organization:
Ability to manage multiple projects with precision, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Driving:
Valid driver's license andfort operating cargo vans and light trucks for art transportation. Clean driving record required. Willingness to travel for pickups, deliveries, and installations, including occasional out-of-state travel.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves physical activity, including lifting, bending, carrying, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods. The ability to safely handle and install artworks of various sizes and weights is essential.
