Broadway Kids Teaching Artist Description:
The Lead Teaching Artist will support a two-week summer theatre program for young performers ages 5-9. This role will help facilitate a fun, inclusive, and process-oriented rehearsal environment w students explore acting, movement, and storytelling. The Teaching Artist will lead daily warm-ups and theatre games, assist the director and creative team during rehearsals, and help guide Counselors-in-Training (CITs) in a mentorship capacity. The position requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to engage a wide range of learning styles while supporting age-appropriate creative development. Students in the program will work toward a culminating performance while building confidence, teamwork, and performance skills.
Status:
Seasonal, 2-week program ($1,000-1,500 stipend; additional hours may include prep, tech, and strike)
Program Dates:
August 3-14th
Specific Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 8:30 AM-3:00 PM (with potential extended hours for set building and final performance) s to:

Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in theatre, theatre education, or a related field; Current college students encouraged to .
  • Musical Theatre and Music, Vocal technique background preferred
  • Experience working with children, preferably ages 5-9
  • Strong leadership skills and confidence leading group activities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a creative team
  • Interest in mentorship and working with teen leaders (CITs)
  • Energetic, reliable, and collaborative work style
  • Strongmunication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and willing to submit CORI check.
