Wellesley Theatre Project Description:
Wellesley Theatre Project is currently hiring Teaching Artists for Summer Camps. WTP is an award winning nonprofit offering year round theatre programs that include classes, productions, and camps in Wellesley, MA. Students range from 4-18 years old. ?
One Week Theatre Camps:
Session 1 (July 13 - 17) 1. From Page to Stage!, 4 years - 1st Grade, 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm 2. Quidditch & Potions, 2nd-4th Grade, 9am-3pm 3.
Elphaba & Glinda:
Friends For Good, 5th-8th Grade, 9am-3pm 4. Foundations of Musical Theatre, 5th-8th Grade, 9am-3pm Session 2 (August 3 - 7) 1. From Page to Stage!, 4 years - 1st Grade, 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm 2. Quidditch & Potions, 4th-8th Grade, 9am-3pm 3.
Elphaba & Glinda:
Friends For Good, 4th-8th Grade, 9am-3pm 4. Foundations of Musical Theatre, 2nd-5th Grade, 9am-3pm
Qualifications:
Prospective candidates must: Have a background in drama, dance, musical theatre, and/or theatre education with considerable experience as a Teaching Artist or Educator. Experience working with children and/or teaching. Bachelor's degree, or higher preferred, in the relevant area of drama/theatre arts. Knowledge of classroom management. In addition to the duties listed above, Wellesley Theatre Project expects the following of each employee: ads to policies and procedures; works to create a positive learning environment for the students; be a role model of professional theatre etiquette; works in a safe manner; performs duties as workload necessitates; maintains a positive and respectful attitude;municates regularly with supervisor about department issues; demonstrates efficient time management and prioritizes workload; demonstrates regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; participates in Wellesley Theatre Project events as needed or required; andpletes other duties as assigned.
