V-Ray Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Lionel Racing Die-cast Artist position is your chance to work on product designs for every major NASCAR race team. As a Die-cast Artist for Lionel Racing - The Official Die-Cast of NASCAR - your design skills and attention to detail will play an integral role in producing authentic die-cast replicas that match the cars fans see at the race track each weekend. Lionel Racing die-cast and other products are sold via its online store, a nationwide network of distributors and dealers, trackside via the sport's official merchandise partner, and in mass retail locations like Walmart and Target.
Responsibilities:
Innovative and creative design of collectible die-cast race cars in various scales, plus haulers and trinkets Developing art for replica racing helmets Creating new packaging and product design concepts Preparing art from teams and sponsors for production at factory Conceive, design, and render original paint schemes for marketing Logo design Skillfully use multiple computer programs to create original designs/templates that meet or exceed sales and customer expectations Follow and execute all licensor, team, driver, and sponsor marks per changing standards. Including, but not limited to logo & color usage, legal lines, copyright, registration and Trademarks Ability to communicate internal and external needs in a timely and courteous manner; carefully identifying and following through on all requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Articulately express conceptual ideas through discussions and reviews at various stages of completion; making changes as necessary Coherently communicate problems and anomalies with any given project or design Commitment to zero errors leaving the production group Other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualification/Skills:
o BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or creative equivalent o Three (3) or more years professional design experience o Advanced proficiency and understanding in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & 3D Studio Max; as well as basic skills in Microsoft Word & Excel o Experience with 3-D Modeling and V-Ray rendering. o Experience in original design concepts and the ability to interpret subject matter from photographs and mechanical drawings o Excellent attention to detail with a strong flexibility creating designs within specific aesthetic requirements o Dedication to one's role and flexibility in adapting to changing direction, priorities, and tasks as assigned o Exceptional organizational skills; including the ability to prioritize a large number of projects simultaneously in a high-energy, fast-paced environment o Strong personal initiative and ability to work to tight schedules o Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities o Interest in and basic knowledge of NASCAR a plus
Pay:
$24.50 - $29.56 per hour
