Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant art and pottery studio as a dedicated work-study assistant, where your enthusiasm for creativity and hands-on involvement will help bring artistic visions to life. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of ceramics, visual arts, and mixed media art. You will support daily studio operations, assist with pottery and art projects, and gain valuable experience in teaching or co-teaching workshops, art direction, marketing and social media management. If you're passionate about art, eager to learn new skills, and ready to contribute to a lively creative environment, this role is perfect for you! Duties Assist with preparing clay, glazes, and firing processes for pottery projects Support studio maintenance by cleaning workspaces, organizing supplies, and managing studio tools Help set up and clean up for classes, workshops and events in the studio space Support social media content creation by capturing images or videos of ongoing projects and events Aid in art direction efforts by organizing materials and assisting with display setups or exhibitions Collaborate with staff on lesson planning, event organizing and outreach/marketing. Requirements Knowledge of mixed media arts and/or ceramics Strong interest in photography, videography, or art direction with a willingness to learn new techniques Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills for managing supplies and studio equipment Passion for arts education, ceramics, or social media/marketing is highly desirable This paid work-study position offers an exciting chance to develop your artistic skills while supporting a creative community.
