Wheel Pottery Instructors Untamed Arts LLC Hackensack, NJ Job Details Part-time $20 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Working with students Manual handling Teaching Full Job Description Wheel Throwing Instructor — Untamed Arts Part-Time | Evenings & Weekends | $20-30/per hour to start Untamed Arts is a growing pottery and mixed media art studio in Hackensack, NJ and we are looking for a skilled, passionate, and people-centered Wheel Throwing Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time role teaching a few classes per week in a warm, community-focused studio that is building something real in Bergen County. What You'll Do Instruct beginner and intermediate wheel throwing classes for adults, teens, and all ages in a supportive and encouraging environment Guide students through centering, opening, pulling, trimming, handle attachment, surface techniques, and glazing Set up and break down the wheel room before and after class Support a positive, inclusive, and creative studio experience for every student Communicate student progress, supply needs, and any studio concerns to the studio owner Pitch in with light studio upkeep as needed between classes What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of wheel throwing experience Prior teaching or instruction experience preferred but not required for the right candidate A natural ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels Warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to sharing the craft Reliable, punctual, and professional Evening and weekend availability required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods What You'll Get $30 per hour Part-time flexible schedule — a few classes per week to start with room to grow Studio discounts on classes and offerings The opportunity to be part of a studio being built from the ground up with a strong community vision A creative, supportive, and inspiring place to teach If you are a passionate potter who loves sharing the craft and wants to be part of something meaningful, we want to hear from you.
