Key Responsibilities A Painter is responsible for completing the following duties: Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, masking, and verifying readiness for paint application. Mix and apply paint using proper techniques, equipment settings, and application procedures to ensure high-quality finishes. Perform regular maintenance on paint equipment and clean the paint booth, including changing filters and maintaining lighting. Inspect painted surfaces for quality issues such as runs or missed areas, and conduct visual and electronic mill testing. Organize and maintain the paint trailer and related work areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper documentation.
