We are seeking a part-time Art Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is friendly, energetic, dependable, organized, and enjoys working with people in a fun and creative environment . This is a temporary-to-permanent position . The selected candidate will begin in a temporary capacity, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance, reliability, attendance, availability, and business needs .As an Art Assistant, you will work closely with our Art Instructor to help prepare and run Paint & Sip sessions. You will assist with setting up painting supplies, refilling paint, helping guests during classes, maintaining the studio, and assisting with our bar and snack service. You do not need to be a professional artist, but you should be comfortable in a creative environment and willing to learn. Responsibilities Assist the Art Instructor with preparing for each Paint & Sip session. Set up canvases, easels, brushes, paint, water cups, aprons, and other materials before guests arrive. Refill paint and replace supplies throughout painting sessions. Help keep the instructor's supplies organized and readily available during classes. Assist guests with supplies and basic questions throughout the painting session. Welcome and greet guests as they arrive. Help prepare the studio for private parties, date nights, special events, and regular painting sessions. Assist with serving wine, beer, beverages, and snacks in accordance with studio procedures and applicable alcohol-service requirements. Restock the bar, beverages, snacks, cups, napkins, and other supplies as needed. Keep tables, painting stations, bar areas, and common areas clean and organized. Collect and clean brushes, water cups, easels, and other painting materials after sessions. Wipe down tables and reset the studio for the next class. Assist with general opening and closing duties. Work closely with the Art Instructor and other team members to ensure classes stay organized and on schedule. Help create a welcoming, social, fun, and positive experience for every guest. Qualifications & Skills Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with guests. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Dependable and punctual. Able to work in a fast-paced and social environment. Organized and able to follow directions. Comfortable assisting with wine, beer, beverage, and snack service. Able to work collaboratively with Art Instructors and other team members. Willing to clean, organize, restock, and help wherever needed. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, restaurants, bars, events, retail, or art studios is a plus but not required. Art or painting experience is a plus but not required . Must meet all applicable age and legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. Weekend and evening availability is required , as these are some of our busiest times.
